You'll have to message christian for access and details. There's a non-disclosure with beta firmware. And then you can get the specific details on the beta post with the firmware. That's why you need to get approved. You don't have to install it should you choose not to.

Just a guess, but I suspect that the new RAX120 firmware will include (among other enhancements) a fix for the security certificate issue (see Why am I getting a security warning when I try to log in to my Nighthawk router?)....
A firmware update for the RAX120 has been released: RAX120 Firmware Version 1.0.1.118 - Hot Fix
The update appears to address the security issue described in this article: Netgear under fire after TLS certificates found in firmware -- again
Note that the firmware version check in the browser interface fails to detect the existence of the new firmware, reporting "no new firmware.” Thus, it is necessary to download the firmware and manually update.
P.S.: Plemans, is this the new firmware that you referenced in your original post in this thread?
