RAX120v2 Reboots Constantly

I bought this three weeks ago after the 2.4ghz band failed on my last router and this one was in stock. A $400 router from a well known manufacturer should work flawlessly and I didn't give the purchase much thought. After about a week the router started rebooting once or twice a day. Now it reboots many times a day which is extremely inconvenient. I have tried all of the usual troubleshooting methods despite the fact that I shouldn't have to troubleshoot a $400 router regardless of both my ISP or the modem I'm using (Comcast 800mbps, Arris SB8200). I'm returning it this weekend. Not looking for a fix as there clearly isn't one from the many forum posts with the same problem and no solution. This product should be pulled from the shelves until it's functional. These days routers are a critical piece of hardware. I won't buy another Netgear product again.

  • Had my rax120 for 3 days, flashed firmware, done resets, nothing stops the constant reboots. Returning it for sure, not sure if I even want to get the RAX200 at this point.

      I returned it and bought an Asus GT-AX11000. It's, admittedly, not as fast as the RAX at distance but I have no more reboots, more advanced software, and better security.
