RAX15 Random Dropped Connection

I have been having issues intermittently for the past year with connection. Devices will randomly be dropped from the wifi and sometimes they will stay connected but not have any internet. Ive also experienced this unfortunately on my pc through an ethernet connection. I tried hard resetting it and pushed new firmware updates for my modem as well. Nothing has worked. I still have very brief connection drops that disconnect me midgame on cod which is a bummer. I reached out to my ISP who scoped the situation and said there wasnt any reported issues with connection to the modem and suggested that it was a router issue. Any suggestions would be dope.
Thanks

It was enabled. I have now disabled it. Hopefully this does it. Thanks

    What is that modem?

What firmware version do you have on the RAX15 device?

A number is more useful than "the latest". There may be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

The advice on DoS protection may be useful, but it misses out on any explanation as to why you should try it. One reason is that it puts a strain on the router's processor. But is isn't the only thing that does that. QoS, traffic monitoring and parental controls can also strain the thing. Disabling those is often advised for troublesome routers.

ISP's support teams have "it is your router" tattooed on their hands. It is often  meaningless gibberish that translates into "We don't have a clue, so let's pass the buck".

To dig a bit deeper you may have to delve into the logs for your router.

That's on old article, but it should point you in the right direction.

      Modem: Motorola MB8600

      Firmware: V1.0.11.112_2.0.77

QoS is disabled and we have no parental settings on

I appreciate the help! Giving that article a read now.

A basic cable modem, with no router component to get in the way.

And you have the latest firmware.

So we can rule out the easy things to solve.

Let's see if the QoS thing has changed anything.

Did you try the reset after the most recent firmware updates?
