rax15 Random WiFi slow down
Has the latest firmware. Bought in Oct. 2020. Worked fine, great wifi signal. In the last 4-6 months the router will randomly slow down for the wifi signal, (around 1Mb/s) instead of the usual 50-...

I verified the firmware version on the netgear support page and through the netgear app. It is 1.0.11.112. As to modem, the router is connected to a DOS3.1 cable modem.

That's the way to do it.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of those out in the world. Unfortunately, many of them are modem/routers. Some of these can argue with your RAX15 router, leading to wifi conflicts that can get in the way of seamless operation.
You may consider it picky to ask people for fine details, but that's where many networks come to grief.
I have just started with the two obvious questions. There are many other subtle details that others who know more about these things may ask when we have pinned down the basics.

Ok, got it.
Let me be more specific. Nothing changed in the setup in the last 2 years. Same internet provider, same modem, same switch, nothing changed. Wifi is (very) slow at random times, only remedy is to reboot the router. Then it is back to normal. No need to reboot modem or switch, just the router. So, it seems to be the router and maybe that's just it, this piece is just done after a couple of years.
