RAX20, issues with DHCP... some devices losing their IP after a couple of days
Hello, I'm facing an annoying issue with my RAX20 router. Once every few days, some of the devices (a Samsung TV and the three Mitsubishi air conditioning units) lose permanently their IPs and even...

For those wondering, I've done some posts in a community of users of the Fastgate, and it seems that my model does not allow to disable the internal router and use it just as a modem.
I'll try to contact the technical assistance of my ISP (wish me good luck with their customer support...) to see if there is a way.
Otherwise I'll try again to reconfigure the RAX20 just as an Access Point and disable the Wifi on the Fastgate... when I tried few days ago the overall system was unstable, but this time I'll check step by step what I'll do.

So, those posts that Google finds are wrong:

Not really surprising.

I've read the whole post (I'm Italian) but the conclusions seem to be that there is no way to configure the ZTE H388Q as a pure modem.
Anyway, I've created a new post on that site (it's a community of people hacking and modding a ariety of different brands and models of networking devices... so there's a bunch of tech-savy guys on that site) to see if someone has been successful in using the ZTE as a pure modem.
At the moment I'm not optimistic... it looks that the only option might be using the Netgear just in AP mode, but I would be losing some features.

2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.
