I must agree 100%! I own the r7800 and the r8500 both are superior routers to this. But that is only because on day one I installed dd-wrt software. The interface on netgear is for a child. You can barely change a Wi-Fi channel without some KIND of dfs error…. I figure some chinese kid is at the programing helm…I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS ROUTER TO ANYONE. IT’S YEARS BEHIND WHERE IT SHOULD BE. THE SOFTWARE IS TOTAL GARBAGE AND FULL OF ERRORS. LOOK AT THE FORUMS… SHAME ON YOU netgear. 500 FOR THIS IS A THEF!
