RAX200 Second 5ghz no 4800 Mode
Is there a reason on my rax200 I cant see the 4800 option on my second 5ghz channel? See sreecn shots. I can see the channels like 161 and such but it only has the option for 2400. On the fir...

for 160hz wide channels, it uses from channels 36-64 and then channels 100-128
The rest aren't wide enough to support 160hz. And canada has channels 114, 118-128 as not usable.
So in canada, you wouldn't be able to have 2x 160hz wide spectrums like the US (and some other regions) does.
So you're only going to get "up to 4800mbps" on one set of channels. The other will only support 80hz wide and "up to 2400mbps"

Thanks for your info, I understand how the channels work, I don't understand why my 5ghz second channel only show 2400 and not the 4800 it should show - the first channel shows up to 4800 but not the second for some reason.

What happens if you swap using channels on each 5Ghz radio.
It's possible that 4800Mpbs maybe not be support on both radios...
Also, after my long experiences with NGs 4800Mpbs connection rates, These are mostly theoretical rates and for average daily use, you'll not see these rates what so ever unless your device is at close range with the router. Higher speeds goes down with distance and building materials. Also environment and noise will be a factor as well. I currently have a RAXE500 in wifi bridge node connected to a Orbi 960 router on 6Ghz and the RAXE only connects at 3800Mpbs and it' sitting about 3 feet away from the RBR. With all the different NG and ASUS routers I have I have never seen 4800Mbps once or to date.
Best thing I would recommend is to keep 2400Mpbs as the main setting. This seems to be the going rate and seems to work well and better for most devices. Besides not allot of home devices support anything much over 2400Mpbs anyways. I wish NG would really re-think the 4800Mpbs rate and re-consider not marketing it. Just really isn't practical.

Its related to your region.
to hit 4800mbps you need 160hz wide channels.
There's only 2 chunks that support that wide of channels in the 5ghz spectrum.
And Canada has a chunk of blocked channels right in the middle of that second 160hz wide spectrum.
