RAX200 with EX7500

I am not getting the kind of range I expected from my RAX200.  My home is about 1400 square feet on two floors 2800 overall.  Can I use a EX7500 extender with this router.  It doesn't seem to connect.

    You can.

    With that said, the RAX200 should be able to cover your area. 

    What is your house interior walls made of? Some materials block wifi very well.

    Also, is the RAX centrally located or located on once side of the house?

    Another positioning thing to check is hvac. Metal hvac blocks wifi signals very well. if there's hvac right next to the router, it could be blocking parts of the home. Sometimes moving the router can make a significant difference.
