RAX35 and WiFi 6 setup

I sure this is a simple question, but I'm rather unclear as to how to take advantage of this router's WiFi 6 capabilities.   First off, is this router considered a WiFi 6 mesh ROUTER.  Meaning I only need to add satellites to create a mesh network or do I need to incorporate a Mesh router into the configuration??  If it is considered a Mesh Router, is the only setting I need to worry about is enabling AX?? If  not, what other settings do I need to be aware of??

I've read a lot of articles about his and I'm rather tech savvy, for a 70+ year old, but I am a bit confused.

    No.

Netgear sells a range of Mesh Extenders. Perhaps these would meet your needs, but it isn't likely to have the same features as the Orbi or MK Mesh router/satellite combinations.

Establishing and maintaining Wi-Fi 6 connections can be difficult due to availability and selection of channels.

Some background reading could be helpful to your understanding.  Start here: https://www.wiisfi.com/.

It is all good reference, start with chapter 11 for Wi-Fi 6.

thanks for the info.  Very helpful.

Here's what I trying to figure out.  I need two (possibly 3)  satellites to ensure adequate coverage.

      1.  Is my current router Nighthawk RAX35.  Is that the only router I need?? Product claims to be Wi-Fi 6 capable router.

      2.  Is my assumption correct, that one of the satellites, needs to be connect to router via ethernet??

      3.  Then the other satellite(s) are sync'd via some configuration process (manual or automatic)

I apologize for what may appear to be very basic questions, but I want to make sure I don't waste my money on hardware I don't need.

I can tell you the RAX35 is not a mesh router.  It an be used as the primary router and attach via Ethernet an access point or two.

Any setup that avoids a Wi-Fi hop and uses an Ethernet connection works better.
