rax40 bridged slow wifi
I have been noticing my wifi slow down recently and I can't seem to figure out why. I have my centrylinkC1100T set up bridged with an Ax4 RAX40 ax3000 router. I am getting only half of the speed that...
On 2.4ghz I get 50mbps, On 5ghz get 70mbps when I run a speed test 5ft from router, is this normal? Or should it be more like 90mbps?
if you run the centurylink modem/router in router mode and put the rax in access point mode, what speeds do you get then?
it wouldn't be the first time a ISP supplied modem/router didn't have a proper bridge mode
- Sorry I'm a noob at this , but I currently have my modem/router from centrylink in transparent bridge mode and all I did on my nighthawk router was set up the PPPOE. I will try AP mode.
If you put the netgear in AP mode, you'll need the disable bridge mode on the centurylink
- I reset my modem/router and connected my nighawk router to it. Then I put the nighthawk router in AP mode but now it just tells me that there's no internet connection. What steps am I missing?
