RAX40 unable to find network
Hi All,
On thursday night my netgear RAX40 stopped working and hasn't been able to connect to the internet since - I am currently using an old router to use internet so that works, and the RAX40 is only around 3 months old. The router, when powering on, has a red LED power light that goes on for around 30 seconds and then go into regular boot, where no internet can be provided even when the internet LED glows green - no LEDs flash like they are sending/receiving data.
Notes on everything that has happened and things i have tried:
- Resetting the router - does not work at all. Tried all methods presented to do so.
- tftp - tried this but could not complete this due to "connect request failed" - this was suggested to see if the IP could be found, and the solution is to ping the default IP from the tftp tutorial from netgear - which I have also tried, to find "request host unavailable"
- the wired connection shows "Unidentified network" - yet for around an hour it was working with certain devices and not with others - now it does not work with any.
- I have also tried using it as an access point with my old router and again, it does not work and just shows an amber internet light and nothing flashes.
Any help would greatly be appreciated as if this does not work it will be going straight into the trash.
