RAX43 firmware Version 1.0.16.132 won't load
I have been trying to load the latest firmware that was released Version 1.0.16.132 and using my laptop, web app or moible app the load fails and the router locks up. I power cycle the router and it returns to the previous firmware load Version 1.0.15.128 and continues to operate. Want to load the firmware but can't seem to get it to stick anyone else having this issue?

Experienced Netgear users prefer to update their router firmware manually with a web browser on a computer wire (Ethernet) connected to the router. If an Ethernet connection to the router is not available, a Wi-Fi connection should work. Stay away from the mobile application for this task.
Instructions for a manual firmware update can be found here:

Like microchip8 says, be certain you have the correct firmware version. Look on the first page of the user interface or look at the label on the back of your device.
The KnowledgeBase article thatKitsap refers to also explains that you have to unpack the zipped file to get the firmware.
Too many users, especially with Macs, turn up here thinking that they should open the img file. No. You follow those instructions and use a web browser and the graphical user interface.
