RAX45
Just installed the RAX45 and the cable is still connected to the Modem.
How do I disconnect the ethernet cable and move the router to another area of the house?
Can I just unplug the ethernet cable and disconnect the power supply and plug it in at the other end of the house? I guess I need to know if this router operates wirelessly.

As long as there is an Ethernet cable at the other end of the house. You need some sort of link between the modem and the router. Wired Ethernet is the most reliable and easiest to set up.

What do you have in mind there? A wifi link between the modem and the router?
That is known as wifi repeater or bridge mode. Both your modem and router have to be up to the task. Without knowing what your modem is, who knows if it will work for you? The RAX45 supports wifi bridge mode,
If you visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
you can feed in your model number and find the documentation for your hardware.Read the section Enable bridge mode.
You may not find this the easiest thing to set up.
