What speeds do you pay for and get? Above a certain level, QoS isn't even recommended

Thank you. I have read that above certain network (I have Optimum) speeds, QOS is not necessary. However, the service I have is 100 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up. I believe my service is below the speed where QOS doesn't matter.
Oh, one more thing. The speeds I have are what I pay for.

Have you tried experimenting with QoS on and off?
That would help you to find out if any problems you have are down to too much traffic or something else.
As to the QoS database, maybe Netgear farms that out to a third party supplier. Like the late lamented parental controls. If so, the original supplier may have abandoned the thing as being irrelevant for most users in these days of fast connections.
