What verizon modem is it?
Some have their own integrated routers that cause a double nat.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.

Also, the RAX48 has a wifi on/off button. That could have gotten hit by the toddler. A factory reset doesn't clear that out because its a hardware setting. Push and hold it for 2 seconds.

I haven't tried the recovery yet (not enought time to devote to it presently), but the solid red power light is now suddenly solid white. Only the solid red internet light remains. Any other suggestions other than the recovery? Thank you.

Tried that Wifi on/off button and the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks are solid white. Internet is still showing solid red, but I have internet. I guess I'll just accept it and move forward. Thank you for your help!

I'm betting its the double nat from the verizon device. You can try the options I listed before. Or you can just use it as is. If you do run into issues, I'd work on the double nat.

Either way, glad the toddler didn't wreck anything!
Just makes it a challenge.
I don't know how many times mine have come close to breaking expensive electronics."Daddy, I washed your keyboard!"
