RAX48 wife drops daily, cant use static ip setting

So i've had this router for 6 months,  worked great for about 4.  Now it looses wifi connection daily.  Devices cant connect, phones say connected without internet.  2 months ago i started working from home, because of my job i have to use a static ip to log into my work computer because it's secure access (finacial firm) so my ip has to be added to the list.  

If i use static ip i lose connection right away as soon as i update the setting.  So i have to use dynamic, text my boss the ip, get approved, yada yada.  SUPER FRUSTRATING!

Is there any suggestions since i will NOT pay gearhead garbage, honestly rather use that money for something new and throw this in the trash since netgear is sooo helpful.

I have rax48 connected to a motorola modem with comcast as an isp.  Rax48 is the only wireless port.
