RAX50 started dropping connection recently
Hi, Nothing has changed with my Cox modem or set up. But recently my Netgear router has begun losing connection. The 2.4 and 5g lights on the router will go out and devices can't connect to it. I...
AP mode disables some features but not the wireless or the ethernet ports. More features like QoS, traffic monitoring, etc
So you think AP mode will help performance? Do you think I should just use the Cox modem/router for everything?
You'd actually have to test them to determine which is better
I went to advanced set-up and changed the router to AP and now I can't connect anything to the router wirelessly. Any ideas?
You're sure the coax one is in router mode?
Did you log into the cox router to check if the RAX is showing up in its attached devices list?
Coax one in router mode? I have no idea what that means. I did a complete factory reset and named the router again. then it asked me for a network security key which I can't seem to find. incredibly frustrated

I found the network but of course it's not working..
So you're going with the Cox router to the netgear router with the cox in router mode and the netgear in access point mode?

Yes, Cox router to netgear router. I lost my patience with it. I think I learned an expensive lesson in that the netgear router was not needed with this Cox modem/router. I took it out of the equation entirely, and installed a gigabyte ethernet switch, and all is well. I actually think the performance might even be a little better. I thank you for all your help though.
