RAX54 - Readyshare brings down the internet
I purchased a Samsung USB 3.1 256GB flash drive and formatted it using NTFS. Whenever I insert the flash drive into the USB port, my internet stops working. I have factory reset my router but the same issue persists. Any inputs on what I might be doing wrong? Thank you.

- Format type: NTFS
- Issue: Internet stops working when I connect the flash drive to the USB port of RAX54
- Steps taken: Factory reset the router
- Also, tried a Kingston USB 2.0 64GB pen drive, with the same issue.

The symptoms you see are a bit odd. A bit more detail about your network might help.
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The make and model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.- badgoonerAspirant
Thank you for the reply. Here are the requested details:
Modem => CM1100 => V10.01.07
Router => RAX54 => V1.0.12.120_2.0.83
