RAX70, Access Control List Randomly Blocks Approved MAC's
I am reopening this thread from 2023 with the same subject title. This issue is persistent. The machine is randomly blocking approved MAC's, both wired and wireless; this is happening several times a...

Thanks for the idea; it is implemented. So far so good. We'll see over time. The IOS MAC randomization wasn't an issue as the blocks were all on PC's in the network. Hope this cures the madness.

Thanks again for the idea. Wish I have better news to report.
Your suggestion worked well for several days, then this morning several approved nodes were blocked by the ACL again. When I went to a working machine and logged into the utility to "Allow" the blocked machines, that very machine itself became blocked. It was like the router was preventing any edits to its random config.
I took the nuclear route. I replaced the router with my standby unit and everything came on line; I'm on that other router now. I had this exact issue several years ago after I purchased the RAX70; I then went to another brand but recently I decided to return to an American brand just to give it another shot, and here we are again.
The diagnostic time this consumed on a beautiful day is unacceptable. Most regrettable indeed. Bottom line, I'm divesting from the RAX70.
Thanks for your suggestion.- FURRYe38Apr 08, 2025Guru - Experienced User
