Not running behind another router. Is connected directly to cable modem that has no router capabilities. Please update firmware so these modes can only be achieved if the end user chooses that mode…thru the UI menu

1. we're not netgear.
2. if you're disabling dhcp and don't have another router connected, of course you're going to have issues. A modem only device needs a router connected thats handling dhcp/nat. If you're disabling that, what result do you think you'll get?
