RAX70 Nighthawk 2.4 Ghz Band Keeps Dropping

Question

Let me start off by saying I'm not a wifi router expert 🙂 We have an RAX70 router and the 2.4 Ghz band constantly keeps dropping. This is the band that our TV's connect to so we are constantly having issues with TV connections. Our service provider (Spectrum) has told us there are no issues with the internet service itself and to contact support for the router.

Every day we reset the router at least twice and sometimes it will pick back up and briefly connect and other times (Like now) it doesn't connect at all. The 5G bands seem to be fine. When the 2.4 band does connect, we have constant buffering issues.

Any suggestions on what to do or what to try would be helpful.

Have you tried using Smart Connect? It has been known to fix such issues, or if you're unlucky, introduce them.

I saw that option but I wasn’t sure what it was. I’ll give it a shot…at this point I’ll try anything!
