RAX80 Can a flash drive be used for Readyshare Vault?

Question

I just purchased a RAX80 and I'd like to make use of Readyshare Vault. The user manual says a USB HDD should be used. I'd prefer to use either a USB flash drive or a USB SSD.

Can either of these be used instead of an HDD?
