RAX80 Firmware V1.0.5.132 unable to connect 1TB USB SSD
I just installed RAX80 router got all devices connected and went to add a 1Tb LaCie Rugged SSD to the router via the USB port. When I connect the SSD to the USB, the USB 3.0 light never lights up (even after waiting overnight). I have reformatted the drive to FAT32, and confirmed that the router recognizes a smaller 8Gb thumbdrive formatted as FAT32 (USB 3.0 light turns on and drive shows up in Readyshare).
Scouring the forums this seems to be a common issue, can anyone provide any help on what needs to be configured with the drive to allow the router to recognize it?

Can you try something under 1Tb? Maybe in the 500Gb range?
Possible that 1Tb drive sizes are not supported. Or your particular drive HW needs additional drivers for use which would make it not work on with the router. https://kb.netgear.com/18985/Will-my-USB-drive-work-with-ReadySHARE
Confirming that I can connect a 200Gb USB Flash drive to the router, the USB 3.0 light does turn on, and I can view this through the Readyshare portal.
The USB FLash drive is formatted to Mac OS Extended.
I had previously formatted the LaCie drive to Mac OS Extended as well and it was not recognized.
Are there any steps to check what is different about the two smaller flash drives that can be recognized, and see if I can make any changes to the LaCie 1Tb drive to enable it to be recognized as well?

Did you check the compatibility list for USB drives that FURRYe38 posted?
The bad news is that it is hopelessly out of date and wildly incomplete.
Netgear doesn't seem to check on "exotic" drives. LaCie? (Who they?) Some devices do claim compatibility with LaCie technology.
My experience is that something that works with one router might work with another. For example, I have used 8TB WD drives in the R7800 even though Netgear does not claim compatibility. ReadySHARE can even connect USB drives attached to the USB drive, something that Netgear used to say wasn't possible.
It seems to be easier to work from the router end. Buy USB storage that is known to work with it, rather than trying to get the router to play nicely with other drives.
I can view this through the Readyshare portal.
