I'd have to agree. I usually recommend 1-6-11 for people with 2.4ghz congestion problems.
- My router is on the latest firmware (64) and can confirm that the router still selects channel 1 when set in auto mode.
Incidentally, when channel 1 is active, nothing can connect to the 2.4ghz channel.
Is it a bug in the release notes or a bug in the router they were trying to prevent with this change?
Either way, channel 1 is still used in auto mode.
