RAX80 getting 30% of my ISP speeds
I've been battling speed issues with my RAX80. I have a brand new Hitron cable modem 3.1 getting expected speeds (1000/300) when tested with my laptop. However, I only get 30% of my speeds when wired to my router via ethernet. If I run the speedtest from the router itself I also only get 30% of what I'm paying for.
A temporary workaround I found is to enable QoS with hardcoded down/upstream speeds from my ISP (counterintuitive, I know). But then I would get the speeds via wired from the router.
However, I recently found after a few days, my speeds started to slow again. So I disabled QoS (speeds still slow), then re-enabled QoS and I was back in business.
I'm on latest firmware. I shouldn't need QoS at all and I'm not sure why toggling it seems to boost the speed.
Anyone else have this? I've been a long time Netgear fan but maybe its times to move on its time to move on to another manufacturer.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Try disabling the following and see:

Try a factory reset on the router with those features disabled. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Use ooklas installable speed test app on the wired PC to test speeds after router is set up.
