RAX80 not getting full speed from my ISP

I'm consistently getting 50% or less of my ISP's download speed. Upload seems ok. When I connect my laptop direct to my modem I get what I expect. When I connect my laptop to my RAX80 via wired, I get less than 50% of the download speed. Also, when I run a speedtest from the router/nighthawk app, it is also much slower than I what I'm paying my ISP for.

Something with the router is off. Any ideas? I'm at the latest firmware: V1.0.10.140_1.0.79

  • I also tried downgrading to the prior firmware, same issue persists.

Additional details would be very helpful.

What is the brand name and model number of the modem/ONT connected upstream of your RAX80?

What is the rated throughput you are paying your ISP for?

What is the operating system on your laptop computer?  Windows or Mac?

On your laptop computer, recommend you use the Ookla stand alone installable application for throughput testing.  It is available from either play store.
