RAX80 won't get internet

We have just purchased this router but our internet provider says it's not compatible with fibre broadband. Anyone else had this problem and how did you sort it? We can't get any internet

Your internet provider almost certainly does not understand how these things work, which should surprise no one.

There is nothing special about fibre broadband that means that it will not work with a router.

The manual for the RAX80 tells you how to set it up for a cable or DSL modem. The process is basically the same, but fiber usually comes through a box with an Optical Network Terminator (ONT). There should be an Ethernet socket coming out of it. You plug the cable from that into the Internet port on the back of your router.

You probably need set the vlan for internet
With fiber - they run both TV and internet over the same wire ..

The only way to split traffic is VLAN
