RAXE300 V1.0.9.82 periodically losing DHCPv4 WAN lease.
My RAXE300 on V1.0.9.82 periodically loses its Spectrum DHCPv4 WAN lease. WAN status becomes 0.0.0.0 while IPv6 remains operational. Rebooting only the RAXE300 immediately restores the public IPv4 ad...

Is there a pattern to the RAXE300 losing the WAN lease? Many ISPs offer a one day (86,400 second) DHCP lease. (My Spectrum connection does.) Some Netgear routers provide an information panel indicating when the lease was acquired and when it will expire. For example:
It would be quite a coincidence if the router IP goes to 0.0.0.0 exactly when the DHCP lease is set to expire.
Do you have the capability to monitor the Netgear router WAN to modem connection? (For example, I put a managed Ethernet switch between the modem and my router. Router WAN port went to switch port 1. Switch port 2 went to the modem. Switch port 1 was "mirrored" to Switch port 3 which was connected to my desktop PC. I set up Wireshark on that port with a Capture Filter to record only DHCP packets. This allowed me to document that Spectrum offered an IPv4 lease of 86,400 seconds [one day] and an IPv6 lease of 604,800 seconds [one week]. Sure enough, my Orbi router renewed the IPv4 DHCP lease at 12 hours and the IPv6 DHCP lease at 3.5 days.)
If you were able to document the DHCP renewal process it would be almost immediately obvious whether:
- The RAXE300 is attempting to renew the DHCP lease as expected, or
- Spectrum is responding correctly to attempts to renew.
