RAXE300 will not save short preamble for 5/6ghz
I am unable to set and save the short preamble preamble mode for 5GHz or 6GHz. This issue has been raised in other posts for other routers. I can't find any resolution. Router: RAXE300 Firmware...
Are you saying that the option to select the preamble mode is not a supported feature? All three WiFi bands have their own drop down menu for this mode.
And when short preamble is selected and you select apply, what is happening?
- The router resets as if it is applying the preamble mode setting selection. When I navigate back to the "advanced setup" -> "wireless settings" page the preamble mode is "long preamble".
I'd try a factory reset and setup from scratch using a wired PC and web browser:

Try MS Edge or Firefox browsers.
Then check the short preamble setting to see if it persists or not.
Is the router working otherwise?
There a reason why you want to change to short vs long?- I'm using the 6ghz band to stream 120fps 1440p video to my living room and I was looking for ways to improve the performance of the connection. The router does not have any obvious issues.
