RAXE500 6G no internet

I have the 6G wifi enabled and configured on my RAXE500 router. Unfortunately, at least half of the time, when I connect to it with my phone or laptop, I get a message saying the connected internet is unavailable. The 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi never give me this message. Any ideas about what causes this to happen

    What modem/gateway is the router connected to? 

    What firmware is on the router?

    I had this issue and the only way I could solve it, was to manually upgrade to 

    1.0.12.96,automatic detection didn't work and kept saying I had the latest even thought it was less than what you could manually download, then reset it to factory defaults, and after setting it up again the "-6G" SSID is a lot more stable.
