Try bridging the D7000 modem to put it in modem only mode.
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

I need to use it as a router, and "router only" is not available
LAN should be good. Anyway even disconnecting and reconnecting does not fix it.
What's your feeling for the RAXE500? I have a 1Gb/s fiber connection and about 15-20 devices

So you need to use the modem in router mode? The D7000 does have a bridge mode. If so, then you might turn OFF the D7000 wifi radios and use the modems DMZ for the RAXE router then.

I just want to dismiss the D7000, and buy a new RAXE500 that I will connect to a Nokia fiber modem where I have 1 1Gb/s plan. My only concern is about the RAXE500: I want solid product, not something I need to reboot every while.
No problem to update FW time by time, it is an issue if my video conference drops.
