RAXE500 SSH?

Re Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream AXE11000 Tri-Band WiFi Router / RAXE500

1. What OS does this router use (linux)?

2. How do I SSH into it? WHen I try I get access denied.
2. How do I change the login time out? It seems to last just minutes. I am constantly having to log back in.
3. Logs? Support for a syslog server, SNMP etc.

Thanks!

Ed

       Firmware version?  Connected to what?

Too modern/fancy for me, so I know nothing, but...

Some variant of GNU/Linux would be a pretty safe bet.

       I don't know.  I wouldn't bet that it's a supported feature.  A
problem with using SSH (or, on older models (and firmware versions),
Telnet) to make configuration changes is that it can be hard to make
such changes persist through a restart.  Handy for exploration, though.

When you "try" _what_, exactly?  As usual, showing actual actions
(commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators,
...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

Especially when using a command-line program, copy+paste is your friend.

A complaint like "access denied" (as opposed to, say, "connection
refused") suggests that there's some kind of sshd listening.  I'd expect
a user name like "admin" to have a better chance than some others.  Of
course, with my weak psychic powers, I can't see what you did.

Having the web browser save the credentials can help.  I've never seen
a documented/supported way to adjust that parameter (which gets
    occasional complaints here).

The User Manual mentions e-mail.  My old D7000 claims to support
syslog, but I've never tried it.  (ADVANCED > Administration > Logs :
Syslog)  I've never seen SNMP support on a Netgear consumer-grade
    router.
