I keep running into problems with my old printer.
I can get both LAG & internet port ag working with my printer plugged into a switch but the computers can not find my printer. I tested / tried plugging the pritner into the empty 2.5/1gig port 5 and port2.. both kills the internet.
The printers wifi connection just isn't stable. Many times I searched for a replacement but none can do ALL that my old HP 8740 can do. HP even makes 9000+ series with LESS Function & Triple the price.
-- I wonder would NEWER switches all my printer to be found? (over my unmanaged GS308 switches)

That would not be the router or switch proble. You need to setup a IP address reservation for the printer on the router, then manually install the printer on each PC for a new printer and point Windows to the IP address reservation you set on the router. The point to the driver that needs to be used for that printer.
Or, Set a static IP address ON the printer itself that's outside of the routers IP address pool size. I change mine to .100 to .200. This lease room for static IP addressed assigned devices to be used outside of the default IP address pool. I have 3 printers here and all use static IP addresses. 2 are HP.
