One person's best is an other person's beast. Start here.
Try plugging your needs into the filters on the product pages:

Then check back here for reports on the things you are considering, but remember that people turn up in this community with problems, not compliments. So look at reviews on Amazon, for example.

I have an older Netgear router. It has 8 antenna, 4 on each side. It died.
I need to get a replacement Netgear router that has same range and streaming power. What should I get? I don't have the model number if the old router as I threw it out but I am looking in old oapers

Any new router will be at least as good as the old one.
Provide more details of your Internet service and someone might have more advice. For example, what modem/gateway/ont connects you to the Internet?
- hawaiianlungsAug 19, 2024AspirantMy old Netgear Router had 8 antennas and worked fine. It died and I must replace it. The old router was about 5 to 10 years old.
I use Spectrum wifi in Hawaii and they provide a cable for me to hook up to.
My plan is 300 down. The speed is fine.
My main concern is range downstairs. I have the router sitting on a rug floor upstairs
The signal must pass through the rug and wooden floor then another wall of wood and some gyp board along the way
A simple cheap Netgear router did not work. No range downstairs. It worked upstairs but no signal downstairs.
I need to replace my old router. Suggestions?
