Router is preventing website from loading properly
I've had a problem with my router not allowing specific sites to load images or styles. it's been doing this for *months* now. I've been seeing this problem all around the internet but nobody seems t...

So if you power OFF the cable modem, disconnect the RAX router, connect one wired PC to the back of the modem and power it ON, can you access this one site then?

Mate, I appreciate the attempt to assist, but did you even read my post? You've only made suggestions to do what I've already said I've done

Having said that, it is hard to see how the router itself can throw up the symptoms toy describe especially when it comes total of "styles" and when just one site that has a problem. Routers don't discriminate against sites. That is more likely to be down to whatever you are using to access the site.
After a quick scan through this conversation I see that you have checked the router's logs for clues as to what is going on. I am puzzled by the statement "logs literally doesn't log anything when I try to access the website".
Does that means that the logs don't show any action at all, or is it just the 4chan site you are looking for? It should register when you are trying to access the graphical user interface (GUI). The "random dos attacks" are almost certainly the usual false positives .
I can't see an answer to the question "Does this happen across different PCs, laptops and mobile devices?"

I had to remake the thread since apparently I'm not allowed to sleep and my first thread got locked.
Here's the OG
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-with-WiFi-6-AX-and/Router-is-preventing-website-from-loading-properly/m-p/2389262
I had to adjust something, I didn't realize I put the wrong router, it's theAX5200 WiFi Router (RAX48) not the AX5400 WiFi Router (RAX50).
Everything else is the same. For those who don't want to bother reading the old one here's an updated list of all I have done. *New things are in asterisks*:I have the *Nighthawk AX5200 WiFi Router (RAX48)*. I'm trying to access 4chan, and I'm only getting simple text. No images or page styles are loading. It literally just looks like a white page with text and a few blue hyperlinks (see attached screenshot). *While I know 4chan isn't regarded in the best of lights, this is a problem other users are experiencing on a wide variety of sites, seemingly at random. Nobody seems to have an answer, so hopefully this will finally get a solution.*
Anything, and I mean anything, connected to the router, by wifi or hard line, cannot load it properly. *Just to make this clear, it's not the browser; every single one does this on ALL devices.* If I connect directly through the modem or use mobile data, I can see the site no problem, so it's not the site. It's not being blocked by my ISP. It's not being blocked by my router (I don't even pay for blocking services). These are the things I've done:
- I have turned it off and on again.
- I have checked for firmware updates.
- I have unplugged Modem+Router for over a half hour before plugging them back in, modem first, then router.
- I have also unplugged ALL devices or turned off wifi on ALL devices that use the router while having the M+R off as stated above.
- I have cleared DNS cache.
- I have changed my DNS to Google's public one.
- I have factory reset my router.
- I have enabled ipv6 to auto detect (worked for a little then stopped working. Redoing this has not helped).
- *I have forced firmware update, didn't do anything.*
- *I have tried using Google Public IPv6 DNS.*
- *I have tried toggling DoH on and off, no change.*
*To clarify, when I factory reset my router, I did a firmware update, unplugged, waited for a length of time longer than 5 minutes, and plugged it all back in. Including the modem. I have not tried to update the modem as it isn't the problem and I have confirmed this by directly plugging into it.*
To answer the dude who came in later to ask about the logs not logging, it does log when I log into the router and I believe initial connection to the internet? But it doesn't log anything weird when I try to visit 4chan. It was literally blank though as I cleared it to make sure it was or wasn't logging when I tried to access 4chan.

Are those people using the same router?
If not, this suggests that this behaviour is down to something else.
I can access 4chan here with no problem. Never see the site before, looks weird, but it popped up as soon as I visited the place. Firefox and Edge.

I thought you were here because you thought that it is being blocked by your router.
- linkjankensJul 25, 2024GuideI know there were 2 or 3 people who had netgear routers, I don't know if they were the same model off the top of my head.
And yes, it's not being blocked. I guess what I'm saying is that it didn't get added to a list of blocked sites, which I can't even do cause I don't pay for that service. Sorry for the confusion. It's just not loading styles or images; all I see are basic text and hyperlinks just like in the screenshots I've posted
