router not powering up after using powe cycle
I have a RAXE500 which started having the kind of issues that require a power cycle of the router. In this case, devices already connected to the network were connected, but when attempting to setup and connect a new WiFi printer, the printer was unable to find the network, as were several devices which had not been on in several months. The router was power cycled, using the power button. After powering it back up, it usually takes a minute or two fully come back up. But in this case, it did not. In addition, the power LED, usually a blinking white, was instead a solid red. None of the other LEDs even blinked once. Not even the ones for the USB ports, where I have some external backup drives plugged in. What does a solid red power led indicate? I have not seen anything that documents this color for the power led.

From the user manual, doesn't say anything either:
"Solid white: The router is ready.
Solid amber and then blinking amber: The Reset button was pressed. When you
first press the Reset button, the LED lights solid amber. After 5 seconds, the LED
turns blinking amber, and the router resets to factory defaults.
Off: Power is not supplied to the router."So can only think of a possible FW corruption or power supply going bad.
Have you unplugged the power brick from the wall out let then disconnect ALL USB Devices and LAN cables from the router including the LAN cable from the ISP modem. Push the power button so it's now in the OFF position. Then plug back in the power brick then power ON the router using the power button? Any changes at the power LED?- cybotLuminary
I did not use the reset button. I used the power on/off button to power cycle the router. Soonest i can try unplugging everything and then letting it sit a bit is next Monday.
