Set up RAX40 as an extender (or repeater) for RAX120

I recently upgraded from a RAX40 to a RAX 120 for more coverage and processing. What I want to ask is if I can set up the RAX 40 to be an extender for the RAX120 router to push cover out further. If so, what are the procedured to do this. I have an small ext7500, but hate to let the RAX40 just sit there if I can put it to use. Thanks for the time to consider my question.

  • The RAX40 doesn't have an extender/repeater mode.

but you can use it as an access point if you can hardwire it in.

You could use ethernet, powerline, or moca adapters to hardwire it in somewhere and enable access point mode.

Or even just connect it directly to the router and use it as a backup, for IoT devices, guest access, or even just one to mess around with.
