Some devices keep saying incorrect WIFI password when it is not incorrect
It doesn't happen on all my WIFI connected devices but several different types and brands of devices will keep saying the WIFI password is incorrect when it is correct. Is this a problem with the ...

The router Wi-Fi radios transmit the signal and the IoT devices connect to the signal. When some devices connect OK and others do not, look at the devices that do not.
Sometimes the passwords that are accepted by the router are too complex for the IoT devices.
Make sure there are no spaces or special characters in either the SSID or password.
Thanks for your reply, and if I was connecting a new device for the first time and it didn't connect then I could understand maybe a password with special characters might be the problem, but the devices that won't reconnect are ones that I think the old password had a special character and had connected to the old router but I am not sure as I can't find what my old password was right now. I guess I could try changing my router password to not having any special characters but then I'd have a lot of devices to log in the wifi again 🙂
ADDED NOTE: I remembered what my old wifi password was on my previous router and it had the same exact special character included and my Reolink cameras originally connected back then, so that would seem to indicate that (at least in this instance) that using that special character in the new password with my new router should likely not be the cause of not being able to connect to my new router.

Old router and new router can handle password verification differently and there could have been a firmware update on your camera. Even if the routers are the same brand, the newer firmware can handle password requirements in a different manner.
Tried changing the password to one without any special characters then first wanted to be sure I could still connect to some of the previously connected devices before trying to connect the ones that previously would not connect and now those devices I checked that had connected won't connect, so I changed the password back to the original and still having problems with those that had been connected.
In hindsight I guess I should have left the original password as it was because changing it only gave me more devices to try to get reconnected.
Now I need to try to find a fix to fix the fix I thought might fix things, ha, ha 🙂
2 of the devices that previously were connected now finally reconnected again on the original wifi password but not the TV, fortunately I had only changed the 2.4ghz wifi password to a new one and back to the original and not the 5ghz wifi password so the TV still connects via the 5ghz but when trying the 2.4ghz it keeps saying invalid password even though the 5ghz wifi connects with using a password that includes the same special character the 2.4ghz has.

I found a solution that worked for me, hopefully this info might help others too.After researching even more online I found a suggestion to try creating a guest wifi network on your router.So I gave it a try and it WORKED to get my 3 Reolink Argus PT cameras connected to my new router.Now while I feel like it wasn't necessary in my case to give the guest wifi network a password without any special characters I did it anyhow and used just numbers and letters (the cameras had connected to my old router with a special character in that password)Another point to remember is I think you need to have your phone on the same network when adding the cameras.Just checked and it seems you need to make sure your phone is connected to the guest network when wanting to access the Reolink cameras you connected thru the guest network. (now I have other brand cameras that I connect to the main network that I can still access when on the guest network but an indoor Reolink camera I have E1 that I was able to connect to the main network I can't access thru the guest network like the other brands.Now I did try seeing if I could switch the cameras back to the main wifi but it didn't work and I have to remove and reinstall the camera I tried it on and add it again to the guest wifi network to access it again.Well, I guess having to switch networks when wanting to go from the outside Reolinks to the inside Reolink is better than buying a new router or new cameras and I am simply thankful I could get them to finally reconnect as I was beginning to think I'd have to replace them with other brands of cameras.
