Any ideas on the GPL release of AXE7800? Failed to find it on NETGEAR Open Source Code for Programmers (GPL) - NETGEAR Support .

Yes. AXE7800 is one of those mostly meaningless WiFi specifications that could apply to various devices. You have to start with the model number.

There's on the versions posted for the RAXE390 and 300 series:
RAXE300/ RAXE290
