Subsonic Streaming stops (AX4200)
Hello. I recently upgraded my router from a Linksys router to a Netgear Nighthawk AX4200 WiFi router. I use Subsonic to access my music collection at home and stream to my Android phone for listening at work, in the car, mowing the lawn, etc. With the Linksys router I was able to stream Subsonic without issue. No matter when I fired up the app, I was connected to my music collection.
Since upgrading to Netgear, however, Subsonic stops streaming. I've opened the port for Subsonic and set up Subsonic to be a safe app. When I shut down the Subsonic service and restart it, it will stream for a few hours. Then it stops. To get it to work I need to shut down the Subsonic service and restart it.
To see if it was an issue with my Subsonic server I removed the Netgear router and replaced it with my older Linksys router. What I found was that I can stream Subsonic without an issue. In fact, I streamed it for 5 days. Now I went back to the Netgear and I'm back to the "worked a couple of hours and stops" routine.
Other than opening the Subsonic port and marking the Subsonic app safe are there other settings I need to set? If this is going to be an issue going forward I think I'm going to just take the Netgear back for a refund and stay with my tried-and-true Linksys.
Thank you.

What model# router do you have RAX###?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Thank you for responding.
Here is the information you requested.
Router Model #: NighthawkAX5 RAX42v2
Firmware: V1.1.3.18_2.1.14
Modem: DOCSIS Model E31T2V1
Note that I have a 1' long CAT6 cable between my Cable Modem and Netgear router and a 25' CAT6 cable from the Netgear router to my PC. I have 4 of the 1' cables in my house and I've tried all 4 while I've been troubleshooting.
And I confirmed I don't have a MAC Address Randomizer on my Android Phone.
One thing I need to make clear is that I am not having an issue with my WiFi. All of my devices hook up to the WiFi reliably. I'm getting speeds above the 300mB/sec rated speed for my service. I stream Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime ... all without an issue. In fact, we just did a marathon binging session of "Better Call Saul" on Netflix without one single issue after 10 hours of continuous streaming to our TV. So, my issue isn't with the WiFi.
My issue centers on my Subsonic streaming service. Prior to coming to Netgear I could always stream my music to my phone and to my desktop at work ... reliably and without issue. When I changed to Netgear it all changed. I went through the settings in my Linksys router and made changes to my Netgear router (e.g., port forwarding) so from what I can see they match. However, with the Netgear product I only get a couple of hours of Subsonic streaming and it goes down. Again, if the Subsonic service goes down I can still be on WiFi, browse the internet and stream Netflix, etc.
Also, as I noted in my post, as part of my design of experiments I swapped back to my Linksys router. I didn't change anything other than unplugging the Netgear and plugging in the Linksys. I was able to listen to my music for the entire 10 hour work day today plus the 2 hours of drive time. I swapped back to the Netgear (again, everything else kept the same) and I'm lucky to get 2 hours of streaming.
So, my question is if there are any configurations I need to set up in the Netgear router so that the streaming doesn't just stop.
I hope that helps.
Thanks.
