So I can/should be able to transfer the settings from R7000 to RAX43 and use them in seperate houses for about a month, if I understand correctly?
You cannot transfer the settings. That is beyond the capabilities of Netgear's routers and is high on the wishlist for many people.
You can set up the new router with the same settings for wifi and admin access.
And there is nothing to prevent you from using the same details in two locations. I do this all the time because I have two separate networks, home and office.

Oooops. R7000. And the new house will be an ONT modem. It's not actually installed yet.
So I can/should be able to transfer the settings from R7000 to RAX43 and use them in seperate houses for about a month, if I understand correctly?
