Transfer speed awful on 160MHz with RAX120 and Intel AX200

Hi

I have a RAX120 router (firmware 118) and an Intel AX200 card in my laptop.

When connected to channel 48 at 80Mhz I get file transfer speeds in explorer of 50-60Mbytes/sec.

Changed the router settings to channel 100 at 160Mhz (no nearby radar, router still shows channel 100 as does InSSIDer) and connect to network - file transfer speeds about 15Mbytes/sec.

Changed back at good transfer speeds again.

Any advice??
Cheers

Andy

  • I have the same problem - its been like this since I built the PC in February. I have tried 2 different AX200 160 MHz adapters. 1 is built into the motherboard and the other is a PCIe adapter made by ASUS but they both have the same problem. It seems to be a problem with the RAX120.

for a $500 router that is supposed to work with wifi 6, its amazing that it works with everything but wifi 6.

Can someone at Netgear please fix this problem?
