Two routers, same network segment.. configuration help

Cant have two routers on same segment using same IPs, one has to be different IP addressing.
Or configured the RAX for AP Mode and use it for its wireless abilities only.

Thanks! Yeah, by "router" I meant the physical device, not the way it was configured to work.
I had messed with this before and got myself into a mess where I had to connect directly to the router to fix it so I was cautious diving back in before asking.
Basically I wanted the Netgear to get an IP from the Xfinity router (which it already does) but then pass network traffic through so devices connecting to the Netgear were getting the DHCP from the Xfinity router. But things online talking about APs seemed to be talking about wifi to wifi connections or something and that's not what I wanted since I have a wired connection to the Netgear. I think I had tried just turning off DHCP on the Netgear and setting it's wifi network to be the same network segment as the Xfinity and things got weird and annoying.
Setting it to AP instead of Router did exactly what I wanted it to do.
