Upgrading past firmware v1.0.12.120 for RAX 50

Is protection engine enabled on the router?
Is IPv6 enabled on the router?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Thanks for the suggestion, I have disabled IPv6.
As for the suggestion to modify the Calix, this had been done when they installed it. CL had originally put a C3000a in front of the Calix and configured the C3000a as the router. I bought the Nighthawk to replace the C3000a because of it's terrible range. It is possible the CL has pushed down an update since the recent change to Quantum, I plan on seeing how stable this is with the IPV6 change and if it is still an issue, I will connect directly to the Calix with a cable and look at the web interface.

Not sure why the C3000 was used in front of the Calix. The Calix already in a ONT/Router/Wifi combo system. If you use the RAX router, would need to disable the wifi radios on the Calix system and use it's DMZ or IP pass thru for the RAX router. OR, leave the Calix as the main host router, disable wifi on the Calix system and configure the RAX router for AP Mode.

FURRYe38,
My mistake, my modem and router are in my rafters in my basement so to determine what type of modem/router I had from CL I had taken a picture of the front and had google tell me, it was incorrect. I recently took a step stool and actually looked at it and it is a 716ge which is just an ONT/modem. So far the IPV6 change that you helped identify appears to have solved the issue. Because of this I am going to mark that change as the solution. I appreciate the detailed help.

Ok glad you got it all figured out and suggestion worked. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
