USB drive in non-powered enclosure as Ready SHARE disk

I have a 2.5" HDD which I pulled from a laptop. I have a non-powered USB 3.0 enclosure and I have installed this drive in the enclosure. It is recognized by the RAX120 as a ReadySHARE drive and works fine with excellent upload/download speed. But, I still want to find out if this is a recommeded setup. Since the enclosure is not powered, the drive will draw power from the router. Would that cause any issues?

Thanks,

Arun

If it works, congratulations. You can't do much else to the thing.
