Using 2 separate broadband suppliers at same time

Hi all
I have the above router and BT Openreach FTTP service which has been excellent with 1.2GB speeds. Recently however we have been experiencing long 4hr+ full LOS dropouts that Openreach seem incapable of fixing. I now have set up a Starlink service as a backup as work from home regularly and so need guaranteed service. Can the RAXE300 be set up with both Openreach and Starlink inputs so as to use both and only Starlink when Openreach fails? If not is there some other device I can add online to achieve this ?
Many thanks
Ian

  • I'm not aware of any WAN failover functionality on NG consumer devices. ASUS has support for failover but you'll have to install RMerlin firmware and addons by community.
  • they don't support wan port failover.

You'd want something like the edgerouter X.

It has dual wan with failover options but is gigabit only.

Goldian0, concerning WAN failover functionality, you may wish to consider using equipment such as a Cradlepoint L950, a Cradlepoint W1850, or a NETGEAR LM1200.
