Is there any instructions on using the netgear VPN service. My setup is that i have the ISP router/modem which is sending everything around the house just fine. What I wanted to do was add a ...

Great information.
I guess my other question is that when you connect to the netgear it wants to ask about setting it up.. Do I just say no to the one that asks if my ISP requires a login? I was thinking so because its getting everything from the isp router.
then i turn on the router mode then i turn on the vpn.

Now that I put the net gear in router mode and turned on the VPN i can connect to it using the wifi and see the internet.. But I do not see the device any more using my ISP router so no way to even know what IP the device is getting ?
Its strange because I could see the device before to add the MAC address to the ISP and set the IP..

I took a leap of faith that it might be working, but I have no idea
I modified the client file it created with my outfacing IP? I think thats correct?
Is there really no password and its just using certificates?

So I am thinking my modem/router is blocking port 1194. That might be the issue. I do have port forwarding turned on for that port though.
All i see is the reconnecting message. or a connecting message and nothing ever seems to happen?

The VPN server uses the certificates plus the serial number of the router encrypted in the configuration files.
There should be no need to modify the configuration files generated by the router. You have to have your configuration set before you generate the files. If you change the configuration, you have to generate the files again.
I am not sure if what you are trying to do can be done. All devices on each network will not be able to see each other like the two networks were the same.
I do know the two networks you are trying to communicate between have to be on different subnets. They both cannot be on 192.168.1.1. There can be no IP address conflicts between the two networks. Recommend one be 192.168.1.1 and the other be on 10.0.0.1.
When you tunnel in to a network running a VPN server, the router assigns an IP address from the DHCP pool to the client device you used to initiate the connection.

the file that the server creates does not use the IP that the device actually is on, it created the file using the 10.0 subnet but thats not the IP that the router sees. I dont see anyway to modify the file the server generates so it has the right IP.
