Wake on Lan not working.
Hi there,
I recently changed my router from an old D6220 to a Nighthawk AX5400, and for years I have use wake on network to wake up a pc by entering the url in a browser like "192.168.1.50:8081", but the new router is not passing the request to the local pc on the IP given. Everything still works with the old router so I'm guess the Nighthawk doesn't have that feature? and if it doesn't what would i be looking for as a feature on router?

- You're doing something wrong. The router doesn't block magic packets, which are responsible for WoL. Make sure your PC has set in BIOS the "Wake up on PCIe" option. Also make sure your PC gets the same IP from the new router as from the old one.
Either way, you should not need to enter any IP addresses in browsers to wake up a PC. There are many WoL programs on the Net you can use for Windows/Linux/Mac that only need the MAC address of the PC to send the magic packetI've never needed to use magic packets on the local network, I have a media server which goes to sleep after a set time. And simply clicking a on link to the local server wakes the device up which worked fine with the netgear d6220 but not the Nighthawk.
