Why are my actual wi-fi download speeds so much slower than my available download speed?
I am using the Nighthawk AX1800 WiFi 6 Router. Latest firmware is installed (V1.0.15.146). I have an Asus VivoBook M712D running Windows 10. I also have a Moto G Stylus 5G for my mobile device.
I have run a speed test with Ookla Speedtest and the speed test option available with a Google search. Both devices and both websites return results at about 160-180 mbps download.
When I run a speed test using the Nighthawk app on my Moto device, it returns results at 750-800 mbps download. This is about the same speed I get with a wired ethernet connection to my laptop (usually around 600-700 mbps).
Why are my actual wi-fi download speeds so much slower than my available download speed? I understand that naturally wifi is slower than a wired connection, but I bought this router because it advertised "AX1800—1.5X better performance than an AC router, up to 1.8Gbps for fast wireless speeds."

Which WiFi band? 2.4 or 5 GHz?
- The model is R6700AX. Both devices used for testing are connected to the 5 GHz band.
