Why doesn't Attached Devices have 6G for a Connection Type?

Your wifi device have to support 6Ghz.

It does. The device that has Wifi 6E support is a line item that isn't a 2.4G or 5G connection type.
This is what it looks like in the web interface. The Macbook is a M3 and is connected to 6Ghz (option + click Wifi icon says so).

Remember, you may not see a 6 GHz option, or any particular band, if Smart Connect is enabled in the router.
My Windows PC just shows a single SSID.
I have to dig into the entrails of Windows to discover that I have a 6 GHz connection.
I am too poor/mean to use a Mac so have no idea how it works there.
Just another user with time on their hands.

Smart Connect is enabled.
It's easy to determine your wifi details on a Mac, you just hold down the option key and click the wifi icon in the system tray. And it is indeed connected to a 6Ghz channel.
I just chatted with Netgear support about it - I think it's a bug. They're going to get back to me since my purchase is still under support. Will update this thread.
